the company
vtl formed as a limited company back in 1995, although the
two directors, Gill Lewis and Brian Roberts, had been working
together for some years at this point.
In the early days, the
up-and-coming desktop software was
WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3. Both Gill and Brian delivered training
to advanced level, and rapidly became expert in manipulation of the software
through macros enabling them to offer the beginnings of the wider
services the company now offers.
By the time vtl was formed, long term contracts had been secured with a
number of blue chip companies, delivering training and application development
services. In addition vtl had gained a number of smaller customers,
to whom vtl provided a "one-stop" service offering advice on choosing
systems, system configuration, network support, software compatibility and
Internet Services.
Since those days vtl has grown steadily, largely through recommendation
and referrals. The company benefits from the stability of long term
relationships with both staff and customers.
Although vtl deliver services nationwide, there are offices in Nottingham
and Cheshire, with Nottingham being the administrative centre.
The directors
oversee all aspects of the business, but in
particular, Gill is responsible for
Finance, Administration, Sales and Marketing, and Brian is
Technical Director.
